Meet The GCPA Family

John Dombroski, Jr., President and Co-Founder
John has been involved in assisting clients plan their estate planning and retirement goals for over 18 years.  His broad balance of financial expertise comes from his early years of selling life insurance, working as a real estate broker and his current estate planning business.

To stay on top of the game, John keeps his finger on the pulse of the insurance industry. He credits his level of success to his unwavering business philosophy of client relationships built on trust. John also values family and community. In keeping with these values, he works with a select group of close family and friends to offer personal service to his clients.

John has been married to his wife Tracey since 1995. They have two lovable dogs; Mitzie Lu  and Ralphie that often accompany them at the office.


Tracey Dombroski, Vice President and Co-Founder
Tracey is instrumental in client services and prides herself on building outstanding client relationships. As an Arizona Certified Legal Document Preparer, she is instrumental in assisting clients complete their estate plan. Her 15+ years of insurance and estate planning are complemented by her friendly and pleasant disposition.

Tracey attended Arizona State University during which time she began working in finance at a major corporation. Eventually she became a licensed insurance agent and began her career in estate planning. Tracey has filled many positions at Grand Canyon Planning and knows the ins and outs of the insurance process.

She married John in 1995 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Together they enjoy music, traveling and their Dogsters.

Angela Feaster, Marketing Manager
Angela earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Phoenix.  With nearly 10 years experience in the marketing field, she has employed a wide variety of marketing methods from event marketing and advertising to social media and direct mail. Angela has worked extensively both as a Marketing Manager in a corporate environment, and as a consultant to small businesses.

Angela joined Grand Canyon Planning Associates in June 2009.  She is responsible for the marketing and communications initiatives for GCPA, including continuous development of the website and other marketing and communication media.  Her primary focus is on building and improving relationships between GCPA and our clients. 

Angela recently relocated back to Arizona from Atlanta, GA, and resides in Scottsdale with her 2 children, Bobbi and Trey, and their dog Sammy.

Susan Krant, Client Representative*
Susan is a graduate of the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.  She has over 20 years experience in the Financial Services Industry, and holds a General Securities Series 7 license.  Susan joined Grand Canyon Planning Associates in July, 2009 after relocating to Arizona from Massachusetts.

Susan lives in Scottsdale with her yellow Labrador, Riley, who was adopted from the Desert Lab Rescue in the spring of 2003. She enjoys volunteering with Power Paws of Arizona, an organization that raises and trains Labradors to assist adults and children living with disabilities.


Jan Logan
Jan is a Certified Paralegal with over 13 years experience with land development projects for master communities. She is a State of Arizona Certified Legal Document Preparer. She was also a court appointed volunteer guardian ad-litem for children in the State of Hawaii.

Jan has recently returned to Arizona after living on the Island of Kauai the past four years.  Although she was born in Connecticut, she considers Arizona her home. She shares her home with husband, Harold, and her parents along with a mini-dauschaund, Brutus Buckeye. She is also an avid Ohio State University football fan – Go Bucks!

Jan participates in many community outreach efforts including Sojourner Center, Habitat for Humanity, and Band Boosters at Barry Goldwater High School. She also serves on the Women’s Ministry Board at Stone Creek Church in Phoenix and is a mentor to Girl Scouts.


Teresa Miller, Client Services Administrator
Teresa has been providing gracious and excellent service to Grand Canyon Planning Associates' clients since 2004.  Not only is she likely the first contact when you visit our office, she often provides assistance in a variety of other ways.  She conducts research and communicates with Arizona county offices on behalf of our clients, a key element in our estate and retirement planning services.

In addition to her contributions to GCPA, Teresa also owns her own business.  She is a proud graduate of the Scottsdale Culinary Institute and provides Personal Chef services to several families in Paradise Valley and Scottsdale.  Some of her culinary accomplishments include winning pastry competitions, teaching a class for the Beef Council at the Scottsdale Culinary Festival, and meeting Jacques Pepin and Julia Child.  She considers her love of cooking to be a true blessing and enjoys creating recipes for the GCPA monthly newsletter.

In her spare time, Teresa volunteers as a Board Member to the Aid to Women Center in Tempe, and is an active member in the Parish of St. Thomas the Apostle.


Christina Scarpone, Client Services Administrator
Christina has over 7 years in Estate and Retirement Planning and has been with Grand Canyon Planning Associates since its inception in 2004. Christina came to GCPA with a strong background in banking. Her experience as a personal banker lends itself to the skills required to support her efforts in providing estate planning and annuity services to our clients. She also holds an Arizona Insurance License.

An Arizona native, Christina currently resides in Scottsdale with her husband, Jason, and their English Bulldog, Casale. She has been involved in a variety of charitable causes including Susan J. Komen Race for the Cure and The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale. Christina completed her first half marathon in support of St. Judes Children's Hospital in 2010.


Kevin Schaefer, Senior Client Representative 
Kevin has over 10 years experience in Estate and Retirement Planning and has been with Grand Canyon Planning since 2006. He recently completed the Accelerated Financial Planning Program at ASU School of Global Management & Leadership, and is an applicant for CFP® certification.

Kevin is currently an Arizona State Committeeman and Delegate to the Arizona State Convention. He is also a former Arizona Legislative Intern to the State Committee on Health.

An Arizona native, Kevin is also a licensed pilot and speaks fluent German. He resides in Phoenix with his wife Amy, and his 2 sons Wesley and Henry.
