Estate Planning 101 - Estate Planning Basics
This workshop explores the complexities of proper planning for later years of life. Activities will focus on learning the top 4 elements of an effective estate plan, including in-depth discussions of such issues as:
- Guardianship
- Conservatorship
- Long-term Care Insurance Issues
- Challenges of Joint Ownership and Wills

Estate Planning 201 - Creating a Legacy Plan
Participants will learn unique and creative ways to incorporate support of a church, charity or other organization into their estate plan. The workshop will also illustrate how charitable giving can provide tax benefits now, without reducing the inheritance to any potential heirs. Upon completion, participants will have a basic understanding of the following concepts:
- Appreciated Property / Life Estate Gifts
- Charitable Remainder Trusts/Gift Annuities
- Life Insurance Gifts
- Gifting IRA Distributions
- Personal Family Funds
